Excavations? That happens usually. But excavations on the moon? Well, that's cool!

It is a challenge hosted by NASA at their Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, California. This a nationwide competition that focuses on developing improved handling technologies for moon dirt, known as lunar regolith. Part of NASA's Centennial Challenges Program, the competition will see 23 teams use robots they designed and built to excavate simulated lunar soil. Teams will test their robots in a box approximately 13 feet square and one-and-a-half feet deep that contains eight tons of simulated moon soil. To qualify for a prize, a robot must dig up at least 330 pounds of regolith and deposit it into a container in 30 minutes. Trophies will be presented to the top three teams.
Digging moon soil is really cool and we badly want to try it if given a chance. But it is only done by licensed professionals and to those who specialises in the said job. (As we're also not licensed to do excavations on the moon.) The only license we have here at E & R Bobcat & Excavator Services is to offer quality excavator hire on the Gold Coast. We take pride in offering a wide range of earthmoving services and we can assist you with your
excavation needs. No matter what need, our team will do everything we can to meet them. We work for you and put your needs first every step of the way.
We would also love to feel how Neil Armstrong felt the day he set foot on the moon and how is it like to do our excavator jobs on a different world
literally, but let's talk about that some other time. For today, let us know how we can help you with your excavator needs. Cause that is our job and we love to do that more.
